Yes we Can

So, today is my first day of Journal keeping, and I've decided that instead of just writing at the end of the day I'm going to keep a Open Office Writer file open write things down as they happen. So, wish me luck.

9am – Normally I sleep in after Patrick has left, but because today is election day, as well as the first election I've been a part of, I wanted to be awake for as long as possible and watch how things go.

Also, I want to read a little bit. I checked out a book by Anne Lamott, and it's not a fiction book, it's a journal of her first year of raising her son. And because I've always wanted a child or ten I thought it would be interesting read.

I feel the need to write today as well, because I didn't do it yesterday because I decided to take the day off from that and do the four questions, because I figured that it would help me out in figuring out what I wanted to do. It was odd though, cause I've wanted to do them for a really long time, but it wasn't until I went to the computer center that I could actually sit down and do them. I think I may have learned my first tactic to helping me write. Sometimes you need to visit other places in order to gat anything done.

12 – I finished the Journal/Book that made we want to start this journal thing, and I have to say, I am very impressed with Anne Lammott's writing. Also, I am very, very hungry.

9pm- Twelve hours ago, this is what I had been hoping for. And it happened, Obama was elected! Chaos ensued outside as little clumps of people crashed into other little clumps, and a language was created out of whoops and hollers, and on television “Yes we can” Has become almost a God-filled phrase. Almost a Prayer.

I have never been prouder to be an american.  

Numbers 40 and 93 Done!

Get a Job (40):

last year, I signed up for work study when I did the Fafsa (Fasfa?) and I got it, which is good, because no one needs any more loans, right? Right. Anyway. I was hoping to get a job at, like the Corner Store or something. Come to find the food oriented jobs on campus Arn't work study. (Say it with me: Fuuuuuuuck) I trolled around on campus and CODa and applied to the bookstore and Children's Center (Kind of.) Then. I walked into the mail room, and was pretty much hired on the spot. Cool, huh? 

Well, it's ok. I mean, I'll get better because the freshman will stop shipping EVERYTHING THEY OWN through the mail now. And even if they continue, everything now starts delivering on campus instead of just shitting it all out into the Shipping and Receiving Center in the library. 

So I'll just be sorting mail and making deliveries for faculties. 

Also, look for me at the mail room, cause I'm supposed to work there as well, but I don't know how often that is going to happen, cause brandy and Jess are still working in the mail room too. (and they are pretty cool Chicks, let me tell you that) So they may still do the mailrooming while I do delivering for and With everyone else. 

Get a New Cellphone (#93): 

When I moved from The Luv Shaq into G My Phone busted. Boo, huh? Yeah. sucks ass. Anyway. I have a new phone now, and it's cheaper and cooler than my last. So, uh, if you want my number Email/message/comment/visit me and I'll give it to you because God knows I don't want the Internet having me telephone.

It takes a lot for me to actually pause long enough in my Stumbling to read an article that appears. imagine the effort it take for me to blog about it.

The Main point of the article is how almost no leading males in recent romantic comedies are Manly Men. Dripping Sex, Alcohol and a good bar fight. Nope, these guys are chubby, emotionally insecure, and have no idea what to do when the woman across the bar actually comes over to talk to them. Hey. Wait a moment. I've heard of that problem before. Oh yes, Real life

How many men out there, of any age, can actually order a woman a drink and get into her pants that very night. Very few. Even less if you count the ones that don't use aqua dots. Hollywood is starting to get something right. Men aren't build like brick shit houses. They're kind of soft, and very confused when it comes to women's genetalia. I think it's excellent that some one is starting to realize that.

I can identify more with a man on the big screen who is a slob, fumbles his words and has no idea what a labia is, than James bond.

Like it or not. Real men are here to stay
